Clearly I am not witty enough for good titles on posts. Perhaps it will come in time.
It has been a terribly long time since my last post, mainly because it has been a very long time since I've been able to sit down and do any dedicated play.
Anyway, if you are interested, some not as good as I hoped pictures with ramblings are behind the cut....
I've found my various BACC goals have been going very slowly. I had intended to make everyone get their jobs only when they come up in the paper, but when you have only a few openings, it takes possibly many rotations for say culinary to pop up. My in game economy was breaking down due to no money production as the only money was traveling around from each business to another, which would be fine if you didn't need money to buy special buildings and to add new bedrooms to house your children and such. So I have given up on that, and will now use the blender to avoid people going through their whole lives without earning any money.
Anyway, I've earned my first non-player owned community lot, so I built a life shrine (that is a garden) on it. It is meant to be much more mysterious than it looks, but I still think it looks nice. The residents certainly seem to like it.
The main shrine:

The magic well of curing:

In other news, I now have one teen in my hood (finally someone grew up!). This has me in a race to build the university, but I've only got about 200,000 simoleans put aside and the village teacher is having trouble getting promoted. All the mods I have in to make things harder...really make things harder.
Here she is, unaware that she may never receive higher education:

Also, the birthday party craze continues, birthday cake is now a major calorie source for all inhabitants (very nutritious, it is a fruitcake after all). I have 100 sims in the hood now, and many of them are under the age of 12 (something like 40 of them, I guess a bunch of those other sims must be npc folks).

The above was a double birthday party, in the house where the wanna-be king lives. His son is learning the part, even though their fortress is still incomplete.
At this rate, he may only be completing the castle for his son, but we will see. He is a cute little fella anyway:

I hope to be playing more frequently, so perhaps I will be able to post again soon. Hope you found this fun, or at least mildly interesting!
