Right now this is just a place where I can post some pictures/stories of some sims 2 characters (or custom content, you never know), so disclaimer is above as required.
Well, my old BACC is still on my computer, and it still loads, but it sure doesn't run that well (it was just getting going really well too). Also, there have been so many great mods released since the last time I had a properly working game. Traits, all of Midge the Tree's great supernatural mods, and new Crafting stations from Sun&Moon. So painfully, I am setting aside my old BACC and creating an alternate time line BACC, were my character sims will land without their families. This way, if I manage to get the old one working well again, great, but the new one will be different, with new happenings.

I'm considering tweaking the rules a bit too, and I've already lifted my own restriction of building all the lots myself. I'm just not that good at building, it is time to face facts and use some of the great stuff that other people build :).

Anyway, rambling on I am. Just in case anyone on my circle is actually still active, I really hope to have some new pictures soon.
But still, my little world survives. I've been having massive crashing issues since September, as well as being really busy, but here is an update finally:

I actually got the chef profession unlocked (that took forever!). I pretty much made her locked in a room getting that last skill point for most of her last rotation, and finally with her getting pretty close to elder, she got that last promotion. One of here children that just went to college started a culinary dorm for all the crazy foodies in my little world who want to open food related businesses (if only they were not so difficult to set up and place without losing money).

So before I go to a cut, here is a picture of another important wedding: The founder finally decided to go ahead with her wedding:
It was a lovely party

So here is a cut, if you want to look at some other pictures:

I seem to be behind on this, and yet somehow my hood now contains 286 sims, with 45 households in my round list. Wow that is a lot of household, and I will have more students graduating university soon.

I've unlocked a bunch of things in the BACC, with adventure, athletic, culinary (my cook is slow, and still not at the top), military, natural science and oceanography to go.

I also have more supernatural sims about than before: 1 vampire, 1 zombie (a terrible accident occurred) 2 werewolves, 2 plant sims and quite a few magic users. Some of these came about because of wants, and others because of my random events.

So before I go to a cut, here is a picture of my first vampire getting hypnotized:

A sim about to be vampirized!

I actually have many more photos, but these are the last of my old ones. I'm taking them now with gadwin, so future photos should look much nicer.
I have not been able to play as much as I should since my last post, although I have played in that time and not posted as well.

My little community has finally earned a University, law enforcement career has been unlocked, and I have 17 households in total.

Many of the first set of children are aging up to teen (the very oldest three have just gone to the new University). Here is one, playing her heart out at chess, working on scholarships (this family has far too many children to support, she will have to work hard)

aged up

As usual, not to mess up your reading page with my photos, a cut....

Here we are with another update. I've completed another entire round, and unlocked the music career finally. There has now been a first death in this game also (and I honestly think, even though I have had the game since release, that this is the first death that I haven't reloaded to prevent ever! This means I find the ghost really amusing for the moment).

I'm sure most simmers can relate to having too much custom content, and do the "I must remove some things but I want to look at these pretty new things" dance. I seem to have reached a hard limit on my objects (and only objects, apparently). I am in testing to see what I can still add and what I can't. I seem to crash whenever I go over this limit, no matter what object I put in. It is sad because it seems like I don't have as much trouble paring down my bodyshop materials, and am always wanting to add new objects, so I will have to learn to take objects out more often.

Anyway, I have some pictures below the cut.... even the first born in-game satyr has popped up.

Clearly I am not witty enough for good titles on posts. Perhaps it will come in time.

It has been a terribly long time since my last post, mainly because it has been a very long time since I've been able to sit down and do any dedicated play.

Anyway, if you are interested, some not as good as I hoped pictures with ramblings are behind the cut....

Wow, am I actually putting a second post up? Unthinkable!

Here is a picture of the most populous area, Crystal Isle, household-wise at least, with 3 families, as well as a restaurant, public forum, and toy shop.

You cannot quite see all the buildings, but the rest of the area is rather bare so far and would make an even more terrible picture. One of the families is building a fortified compound, but they have virtually no money yet, so that lot looks silly.

I've been spending time getting families established (none of the homes really look how I want them in my head), if I didn't have Almighty Hat's aging mod (love this mod, it is so much nicer this way!) some of them would be elders already. I'm on my seventh rotation (starting with one family and adding one family each rotation). I use one season as the rotation marker, because otherwise I would forget for sure.

Portal Landing exists! I was thinking I would never be able to post anything, but here it is.

First: A picture

This is my main map, where all the unlucky sots find themselves transported to from worlds around the universe. The center area here is unstable, and whole buildings sometimes just come crashing down.

I'm playing a sort of a BACC, though because many of my characters already have back-story, I break rules for that. Life is hard for these sims, random events (and risky woohoo) keep slowing them down.

Here is a shot of the front garden of such a building. The inhabitants decided to stay living here, although they could get hit with flying debris anytime.

The lady of the house scavenges parts from the crash zone and builds robots with them.

You know, when she isn't busy...

Next time some nice medieval and fantasy characters (they complain less about the lack of amenities....)
